Our Fabulous Foals
Ravisher's Moon, two months old.
Breeding wonderful foals is one of our main goals at Jolly Roger. Our foal breedings are carefully thought out and planned, often years in advance. Pedigree, movement, temperament, conformation, and performance of sire and dam all need to be considered and the possibilities evaluated. Breeding can be both a science and an art form, so we avail ourselves of the best of both worlds to come up with a foal that will not just meet your standards, but exceed all expectations. Halter and lead training, hoof trims, respect for space, brushing, worming, and meeting and greeting strange objects (such as wearing leis), are all part of a foal’s education here at Jolly Roger. We hope that you’ll enjoy watching them grow up as much as we do.
If you see a foal not listed for sale, please contact us and ask about it. We’ve had people help us get the horse of our dreams in the past, and we might be able to do the same for you.
2010 Foals
Ivy is our newest arrival, a beautiful three-quarters Arabian pinto filly. She’s a gorgeous coppery chestnut with lavish amounts of white. She will be double registered as both Half Arabian and as pinto. Rio and Faye outdid themselves when they produced this amazing filly. Not only is she gorgeous and sweet, but she’s huge! We expect her to mature close to her dam’s size of 15.2 H.

2009 Foals
Bella has the beauty, soundness, color, and fabulous temperament you want in a filly. Take a look at her well laid-back shoulder and powerful hip, with an elegant neck and strong topline. This filly can pick up and move like an English horse, then float like a dressage prospect. This is the sort of filly you’ll be able to show in-hand, take almost anywhere under saddle, and then breed her for outstanding foals.

2008 Foals
Ravisher's Moon ("Ravish") is a tall, leggy filly bred to perform! She has the structure and size so desirable in modern warmbloods today. Rated Silver Premium and branded at her RPSI Inspection, she has a well set-on neck that breaks naturally at the poll, a sloping shoulder, powerful engine, and the elasticity that speaks of a future in dressage or over the jumps--perhaps both! She has been worked with daily, and shows a curious, thoughtful temperament that translates into a horse that wants to work with you, but without the need for dramatics.
Sold to the A. Family, Oregon. Click here for more pictures and information about Ravish.
